September 23, 2016: Accelerated Technology Laboratories, Inc. (ATL), a premier supplier of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), will be presenting at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s 26th Annual Quality Assurance Conference. The Conference will take place October 17-20, 2016 at the EPA Region 6 office in Dallas, Texas.

ATL is scheduled to give three presentations during the Conference and all attendees will receive a copy of the ATL LIMS Resource Kit. This informational DVD includes guides, tools, and templates to help in the evaluation and selection of a new LIMS.

Migrating from a Legacy LIMS to a Modern Platform will be presented by Sonja Stutsman of ATL. The focus will be on highlighting the key success factors to consider when migrating to a new LIMS. For most organizations considering this move the primary reasons are to improve data quality and lab efficiency while reducing operational expenses and meeting regulatory compliance requirements. The presentation will cover the critical decision-making factors that will help ensure that an organization selects the LIMS that will best meet its requirements now and into the future.
Preparing for a LIMS – The Importance of Proper Planning will be a joint presentation by Sonja Stutsman (ATL) and Brenda Snodgrass of the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry. This presentation is a case study of the Department’s journey to implementing a new LIMS and will provide attendees with some valuable observations on how to ensure success when going through the planning and implementation process. Brenda will share her organization’s experiences and the lessons learned that will benefit those attending the Conference.
Leveraging Mobile Technology with LIMS for Field Data Collection will be presented by Sonja Stutsman (ATL) and will focus on the topic of mobile technology and how environmental laboratories are using these tools (tablets, smartphones and rugged laptops) to automate tasks within a LIMS to increase productivity and generate quality data while remaining competitive.
