October 25, 2017: Accelerated Technology Laboratories, Inc.(ATL) hosts the 2017 LIMS Webcast Series and the next webcast is scheduled for Wednesday, November 15th and is entitled Migrating from a Legacy to Next Generation LIMS. This webcast is ideal for laboratories that have an existing Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), which they have outgrown or which never really quite fit, to better understand the next steps toward implementing a new system that will better meet their functional, operational and business needs. Leveraging the latest tools will also provide a competitive edge in the marketplace and allow the laboratory to generate higher quality data, cost effectively, while meeting regulatory requirements, and maximizing resources.

Webcast Overview

There are many laboratories that have outgrown their current LIMS (could be commercial off-the-shelf or “homegrown”) which is impacting their ability to address their current needs (business, regulatory or financial). These “legacy” LIMS are no longer able to keep up with the pace of innovation due to internal (changing business processes) and external (changing industry or regulatory requirements) factors. This webcast will provide a compelling business case for why organizations should migrate to the next generation LIMS and also offers valuable guidance on best practices.

Topics Covered During the Webcast

  • Discuss the challenges that legacy LIMS present that keep the laboratory from moving forward as business requirements change.
  • Regain competitive advantage by leveraging AI and best in class technology
  • Define and lay out the differences between legacy and next generation LIMS solutions.
  • Walk through the key beneficial characteristics of next generation LIMS
  • ATL will introduce a roadmap on how a laboratory can make the transition from a legacy to next generation LIMS.

Who Should Attend

Recommended attendees include laboratory owners, directors and managers, and quality managers in the analytical, food & beverage, manufacturing (product/material testing), agriculture, energy, environmental, water/wastewater, life science, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, forensics and public health sectors.
