July 8, 2021: Accelerated Technology Laboratories, Inc. (ATL), a leader in Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), today announced the promotion of Shawn Shahamat to the position of Director of Support Services. Shawn previously served as Senior Support Engineer at ATL, responsible for development and validation of ATL LIMS product upgrades, enhancements, customizations, and instrument integration services. He assisted in managing a support system and a database of LIMS software support incidents. He is a Certified ATL Trainer, teaching our Intermediate and Advanced LIMS Boot Camp courses, with more than 9 years’ working with ATL solutions and 20+ years of industry experience.
His expertise includes update and new product release testing, deploying updates and installing software, creating queries, setting up networks, building and installing software, and mentoring ATL’s computer science interns. In addition, he has designed and authored training manuals, white papers, built help files, and written test scripts. He is knowledgeable in both hardware and network configuration, with extensive experience in Microsoft technologies and environments.
Over seven years ago, ATL introduced our first SaaS (Software as a Service), cloud hosted products. As a result, our business and support offerings have expanded and grown. “Shawn is the perfect fit to lead our support team during this exciting time,” said Dr. Christine Paszko, ATL’s Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing. “We consistently receive positive feedback regarding his commitment to our clients and his ability to quickly resolve issues. In addition to leading the team, he will oversee issue resolution, track support activity and response times, and continue to build on the trust we have established with our users. “I look forward to leading our highly accomplished support team to ensure our clients’ continued success,” Shawn said. “I am excited to lead the support team in collaborating, troubleshooting, and resolving issues for ATL users.”
Shawn holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from IH University in Tehran, Iran and recently earned certificates in C# Programming, DB Programming, and Web Programming from Sandhills Community College in Pinehurst, North Carolina. He is also a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
