March 28, 2023: Accelerated Technology Laboratories, Inc. (ATL), a leader in Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), is pleased to announce that it will be presenting at the 2023 California Water Environment Association (CWEA) Annual Conference & Expo. The Conference will take place on April 18-21, 2023, at the Town & Country Resort in San Diego, CA.

The presentation, Roadmap to a Successful LIMS Implementation: CA ELAP Edition, is very timely as significant changes to the California Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (CA ELAP) will go into effect on January 1, 2024, As a result, many CA ELAP-accredited laboratories are considering implementing a new LIMS to address these new requirements.

The presentation will focus on the complete LIMS planning and implementation process from defining the project scope to final deployment and going live. ATL is also honored to be joined by Tiffany Ishaya of Silicon Valley Clean Water (SWCV), who will discuss how SVCW will use their LIMS to comply with  CA ELAP changes. Date/time details follow:

Roadmap to a Successful LIMS Implementation: CA ELAP Edition

Dr. Richard Danielson, Accelerated Technology Laboratories

Tiffany Ishaya, Silicon Valley Clean Water

Learning Objectives

  • Walk through the four phases of a LIMS implementation process: defining project scope, configuration and setup, implementation and training, and going live.
  • Hear about best practices and lessons learned that will help avoid obstacles to a successful LIMS deployment project.
  • Understand why it is critical that LIMS requirements be defined for today and into the future to avoid premature obsolescence.
  • Learn about one California ELAP laboratory’s LIMS implementation experience and how they are preparing for the ELAP changes.

Changes in the CA ELAP have triggered significant interest in LIMS and laboratory automation. LIMS is a proven solution for laboratories, promoting compliance with the state’s ELAP accreditation requirements. As a result, ATL has created an exclusive offer, the CA ELAP LIMS Solution Package. This offering begins with a complimentary LIMS Planning Assessment. Details on this package are available by contacting ATL via email (info@atlab.com) or phone (800.565.LIMS).
